Golden Gate Kennel Club Dog Show (click for official website) -- January 30 and 31 , 2010 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Cow Palace, San Francisco. This is a benched show which means the public can meet the breeders and their dogs. PWDs show/ring times in lower level Bldg. NEW!! Grooming Your PWD -- Saturday, February 27, 2010 -- Club member Denise Gilbert denisegilb@att.net will lead a workshop on grooming your family PWD. This will guide you on how to groom your PWD or how to get the best PWD cut from your groomer. This will not be about show cuts. Details and contact information available in the flyer (download). Limited working and audit slots so register early.

Formal water practice sign ups for 2010 are scheduled for May1, 2010. A Club picnic and demonstrations will also be presented. Make this the year to introduce your PWD to water work and join the nearly 40 dogs and their handlers to practice all levels of water work. Here are answers to everything you wanted to know about water practice.

The PWDCNC will be the host club for the 2010 PWDCA National Specialty. The Specialty will be held in San Luis Obispo, California October 1-8, 2010. The 2010 Specialty Leadership Team wants you to help them ensure the specialty is a fun and exciting event. Sherry Hanen will be updating us at the annual meeting. Results of the 2009 PWDCNC Regional Specialty available for download. Held October 17, 2009, in conjunction with the Del Valle Dog Club All Breed Dog Show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California with Dr. Betty Trainor, conformation judge. We enjoyed a day of PWD comraderie along with Obedience and Rally Trials, Best of Breed, Parada Dos Amigos (Parade of two friends), Raffle/Auction and an extraordinary dinner. Many thanks to Chair Elaine Rasmussen and all her volunteers.

August PWDCNC Water Trial -- August 22 and 23. Click here for results. Thanks to Catherine Gadd and Lauren McDermott, our wonderful and supportive Judges. Even though we had two rings, the trial went smoothly because of the many, many volunteers.

The July Water Trial was a great success! Many thanks to Kathy Monroe, Judge and all the volunteers who assisted during the July 10 and 11 workshop and for the trial. Results can be downloaded here.

There were some seriously misbehaved dogs in 2008. Fortunately, it was the year for Presidential Pardons. As the outgoing president, Ali issued pardons at the 2009 Annual Meeting. Click here to download the slideshow.
